About Wikiguessr
Wikiguessr is a route-planning and article deduction challenge built around Wikipedia content. Route rounds test speed, topic intuition, and path efficiency, while Guess the Article tests whether players can identify a title from redacted catalog text.
The project is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation. Wikipedia supplies the article network, while Wikiguessr supplies the game rules, lobbies, scoring, public records, and progression layer.
What Makes It Competitive
- Solo and multiplayer rounds with shared article targets.
- Persisted match history and profile-level progression.
- Public ranking surfaces for recurring performance tracking.
- Daily Challenge routes that let players compare attempts against the same prompt.
- Guess the Article beta scores that rank saved title-guess rounds.
What Wikiguessr Publishes
The public site contains game rules, strategy content, frequently asked questions, contact options, privacy and terms pages, leaderboards, and recent match records. Match records are generated by gameplay and help players study route decisions, timing, and completion consistency.
