Wikiguessr Game Modes

Wikiguessr includes route-navigation modes and a redacted article title mode. Route modes test how quickly players can move between articles, while Guess the Article tests how well players identify a page from revealed words.

Classic

Classic rewards fast valid completion and is the best place to learn broad bridge pages, clean transitions, and route review after a match.

Hardcore

Hardcore adds route discipline. Revisited pages and long stalls can end a run, so players need backup paths and careful link choices.

Daily Challenge

Daily Challenge gives every player the same article pair for one attempt each day. That shared prompt makes leaderboard comparison more meaningful than a random match prompt.

Guess the Article

Guess the Article is a beta title puzzle. Players pick a category, reveal words from a redacted catalog article, and guess the article title before penalties reduce the score too far.

How To Choose

Start with Classic, move to Hardcore when you want stricter path control, use Daily Challenge when you want one public route prompt, and use Guess the Article when you want a clue deduction round.
